GALLERY The Gallery of the Year of the Bible 2008 web-site provides an in-sight to many of the programmes that take place throughout the country as part of the Year of the Bible series of programmes. The many photos we receive from local organisers of various events serve a multiple purpose: on the one hand help us identify the event advertised beforehand; and it shows a very important fact about the year-round events of the Year of the Bible, namely that it is done by people and to people creating them and opportunity to meet the Bible in their own "walks of life" whether that is an exhibition, a round-table discussion, or many other types of events. On the other hand, a photo-report can "tell a thousand words": the faces, the excitement and the numbers at such events send out the clear message that the Bible is there for us to discover and the Year of the Bible is a wonderful opportunity for that end. The photos in the gallery also show the wide range of the Year of the Bible. Some might think it is only for the youth, while others assume it is only for the young children, but the photos will testify that the Year of the Bible programmes are for all ages and for all people.
